In-Stock Greek Revival Profiles for Historic Restoration Projects

Greek Revival homes and buildings dot the country particularly in the Western Reserve of Ohio. The moldings in this combination are accurate recreations of Greek Revival style, ready to ship in select lengths and wood species. View each profile below to learn more about its options.

Greek Revival Baseboard

  • 5216 [5/8 x 1-5/8]
  • S4S [3/4 x 7-1/4]

Greek Revival base moldings feature simple cyma recta curves that complement the flowing curvature of other millwork, like casing and crown molding.

Greek Revival Crown Molding

  • 3240 [1-1/8 x 3-1/2]

Relatively plain when compared against other neoclassical crown millwork, Greek Revival crown molding profiles rely on the echinus or ovolo to create a proportional balance with base molding profiles.

Greek Revival Casing #1

  • 5499 [5/8 x 2-1/16]
  • 1062 [3/4 x 3-1/2]

Doors and windows in Greek Revival homes can be embellished with casing that features the cyma reversa shape with bead and quirk details. Compared to other styles it is relatively unadorned.

Greek Revival Casing #2

  • 5499 [5/8 x 2-1/16]
  • S4S [3/4 x 5-1/2]

Less ornate styles of door and window trim include planed wood coupled with a cyma recta or reversa to maintain symmetry.

The Characteristics of Greek Revival Millwork

Rising in popularity during the late neoclassical movement, Greek Revival style architecture emerged in the beginning of the 19th century. Like the Ancient Greek architecture that inspired the style, Greek Revival moldings rely upon the echinus, portions of an ellipse, the beak mold, fillets, and chamfers. Millwork, from door casing to crown molding, celebrate symmetry and a sense of proportion.

Specified Length Fee: For lengths specified beyond in-stock material, there is a 10% upcharge compared to random length prices for items up to 12 feet. Extended lengths from 13' to 16' receive a 20% upcharge.

Shipping
For items longer than 8 feet, LTL freight shipping is required. While we can ship longer lengths, please note that shipping costs will be considerably higher. Therefore, we recommend selecting lengths of 8 feet or shorter when possible, especially for small quantity orders, as these can be shipped via ground carrier. *Items over 12 feet are classified as extreme overlength, incurring an additional accessorial fee on the total shipping cost.
